Food Preservation Workshop at Wyoming Territorial Prison

Fall is upon us, and as the vegetables are harvested from gardens, one wonders how to eat it all.  Food preservation may be the answer.  If you are interested in preserving food at home, come to “Preserving Fundamentals” at 3 p.m. this Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site, a free educational workshop about your options.

Diane Saenz, nutrition and food safety educator for the University of Wyoming Extension Office, is a food enthusiast who loves to talk about growing, cooking, eating and preserving foods.  Saenz provides programming in the areas of nutrition and food safety.
