National Weather Service focus of State Museum lecture

A historical look at the National Weather Service is the focus of the Wyoming State Museum lecture series presentation, January 12, at 7 p.m., in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Titled, “Early History of the National Weather Service,” Senior Forecaster Chad Hahn of Cheyenne will examine how weather has played an integral role in the shaping of the history of the United States and Wyoming.

The history of the Weather Bureau/National Weather Service, as well as its expansion into Wyoming and the western United States will be discussed.

The Wyoming State Museum is located in the Barrett Building, 2301 Central Ave. in Cheyenne. For more information about this and other State Museum programs,  call 777-7021.
